Bobby Miller (basketball)

Bobby Miller (born 24 May 1974 in Montreal, Quebec) is a player for the Montreal Royal of the American Basketball Association.

High School Career

Miller was a talented point guard who represented the city of Laval on the provincial level during his Juvenial Triple AAA year.

College Career in Canada

Being a good ball distributor and an accurate passer, Miller also spent his college career in Laval. Quickly becoming their star player Bobby Miller was selected to the All-Canadian Colleges Athletic Association Team (CCAA) during his final two years at Laval.

College Career in the U.S

Bobby then went to the United States and played at Southern New Hampshire University. He collected many honors during his tenure with the Penmen. The most notable being the All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) honors in 1999 and 2000 and, as team captain, the 2000 NECC Player of the Year. Bobby Miller finished off his career at Southern New Hampshire University with a total of 85 games played, 1,195 points, a 14.1 points per game average and 192 steals. His nickname was Le Serpent Noir.

Professional career

Miller played professionally in 2000-2001 for the inaugural season of the Al-Jamhour Blue Stars, in Lebanon. He helped the team reach the quarterfinals. After taking a break for a few years, Bobby came back to Montreal to play with the newly created Montreal Matrix of the ABA. He is currently their team Captain.
