"Strange Fruit" is the second solo album by Trijntje Oosterhuis and was released on March 22, 2004. Trijntje's solo debut album was well received, however it consists mainly of ballads and she had a personal fondness for Jazz instead of pop ballads. In 2004 she manage to sign a record deal with Blue Note.

During 2003 Trijntje made a tour with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta and the Houdini's playing covers of Billie Holiday and George Gershwin.
