John Peter Grant of Rothiemurchus, Lord Huntingtower, DL, FRSGS (born 22 October 1946) is the heir apparent to his mother, Katherine Grant, 12th Countess of Dysart. [http://www.thepeerage.com/p8459.htm#i84589 The Peerage] website says that he is the 16th Laird of Rothiemurchus.

His father was Lieutenant-Colonel John Peter Grant, M.B.E. 17th Laird of Rothiemurchus. His mother is Katherine Grant, 12th Countess of Dysart. He has one sibling, Lady Jane Margery Buxton, born on 2 February 1943. Lord Huntingtower owns the [http://www.rothiemurchus.net] Rothiemurchus estate at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland that welcomes visitors to enjoy a wide choice of outdoor activities in a National Scenic Area with multiple nature conservation designations. The estate is the site of the Loch-an-Eilean with it's mysterious island castle(see article about the Clan Shaw) although what remains of this castle is not the present-day main residence, that being the recently-restored [http://www.rothiemurchus.net/dounehouse.html "Doune of Rothiemurchus" house] . Notes

*There is a Huntingtower Castle but this person does not own it or reside in it.
*The Lordship of Huntingtower is the Scottish equivalent of an English barony. "The Times" has referred to Lord Huntingtower's mother in print as Baroness Huntingtower [http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,10349-1436932_23,00.html] . In Scotland the Lord or Lady who uses this title is never called a Baron or Baroness.
