International Affiliations

Goethe Institut

The Goethe Institut has started a new program (Schulen Partner der Zukunft) to improve the German language teaching around the world. The Modern Education School, in addition to three other schools, has been privileged to become a member of this partner school initiative program funded by Goethe Institut.

The choice has been based upon the visit of Mrs. Simone Jore, the project manager, to the school. Mrs. Jore was impressed by the quality of the school's teaching program of German as a foreign language. Accordingly, the school is proud to announce the professional supervision of the project by the "Goethe Institut" over a period of three years.

iE (International Education and Resource Network)

iEARN is a non-profit global network that enables young people to use the Internet and other new technologies to engage in collaborative educational projects that both enhance learning and make a difference in the world.

Since 2003, MES has participated in a wide variety of iEARN projects on environment, civics education, global issues and human rights. These projects were conducted with selected English Language teachers and interested students as extra curricular activities.

Kidmocracy

Kidmocracy is a program designed to introduce the definitions and components of democracy to Egyptian students. It is an extra curriculum civic education that has been launched and funded by "AEHRO", Afro-Egyptian Human Rights Organization.

Students participating in the program get the chance to travel, along with other finalists, to the United States and become part of an exchange program that offers a great opportunity for culture-exchange while visiting many of America's exotic landmarks.

Seeds of Peace

Founded in 1993, Seeds of Peace brings teenagers from regions of conflict to its unique summer camp for a month-long conflict resolution program. Set in a neutral, supportive environment in the woods of Maine, USA, Seeds of Peace combines arts, athletics, and water activities with an intense living experience and a serious conflict resolution program.

MES students who participate in this program gain lifelong benefits – from the experience abroad, the chance to interact with youth from all around the world, continued personal and intellectual development and educational opportunities.

10th Anniversary

In 2007, the Modern Education Schools held a student re-union and a concert in celebration of its tenth anniversary since its establishment in 1997.
