Borislav Herak

Borislav Herak

Borislav Herak was a Serb soldier for the Serb army in Bosnia. He was sentenced to death by firing squad after confessing war crimes.

Herak recanted his testimony in January 1996 and now claims that his testimony before a Bosnian court was beaten out of him. In a major embarrassment for the Bosnian Government, two Muslim brothers whose supposed murders were used as evidence in a highly publicized war crimes trial to condemn Herak and Sretko Damjanović to death have been found living in a Sarajevo suburb.
