Wall Intermediate School is a school in
Wall Township, New Jersey that educates children in grades 6-8, as part of theWall Township Public Schools .It is located between Alaire Road and Bailey's Corner Road. The current principal is Rosaleen Sirchio and the assistant principals are Thomas Ridoux and Tiffany Steiner. It was founded in 1960 as a 14 room school and over time it expanded. The school has over 1,000 students and many sports and extracurricular programs. The school day is made up of nine forty minute periods. In between each period there is four minutes for students to get to their next class. The school day begins at 8:15 and ends at 2:49. Classes include Physical Education, Art, Foreign Language, Tech Ed, Computers, and more. There are supervisors for each subject and the subject's teachers. Mrs. Erin Embon and Billie Imperato are the supervisors. Eighth graders get the opportunity to choose three electives including one foreign language. These languages are French, Spanish, and Latin. They may choose a class where they make a media show it is overlooked by Mr. Capasso. Sixth graders have a rotational trimester made of Spanish (Ms. Facer), Music (Mr. Gregory Jung), and Computers(Mrs. Sue Vanderhoof). The school also has advanced educational enrichment programs and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The school is famous for its baseball and soccer teams and is also known for its basketball student section of '08. The school has a great chorus program run by Mr. Gregory Jung, a band run by Steven Bryant, and an orchestra run by Mrs. Laura Dooner.
