Adrian Blincoe (born 4 November 1979 in
Auckland ) is a New Zealand middle distance runner who specializes mainly in the1500 metres . He also competes in the800 metres , in the3000 metres and in the5000 metres . After some recent (2007) success, including running a World Championships and Olympic Games qualifying time, over the latter distance it has been suggested that Adrian might soon specialise as a 5000m runner but he has stated a preference to continue to compete at 1500m until at least the 2008 Olympics. He was a 7-time All-American at Villanova in cross country, indoor and outdoor track. He holds the Villanova school record in the 3000 meters, and was both an NCAA champion and runner-up at that distance.
