Lucas Matías Licht (born April 6, 1981 in Rosario) is an Argentine professional football (soccer) defender currently with Getafe CF of Spain.

Playing career

For three years, Israeli club Maccabi Haifa had Licht on the club's transfer shortlist. Clubs in Israel were interested in his services because as a Jewish footballer, he wouldn't count as a foreigner. Licht joined Maccabi Netanya for a trial, but they decided not to offer him a contract. After one more trial with Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Licht returned to Argentina where he played one last season with Gimnasia de La Plata before joining Spanish side Getafe CF.
