Faulkner Hospital

Faulkner Hospital

Faulkner Hospital (founded in 1900) is a 150 bed teaching hospital located in Boston, Massachusetts. It is located in the neighborhood of Jamaica Plain across the street from the Arnold Arboretum and just 3.4 miles from Longwood Medical and Academic Area. It is affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School

Highly regarded as one of the region's most respected community teaching hospitals, Faulkner Hospital joined with Brigham and Women's Hospital in 1998 to form a common parent company, Brigham and Women's/Faulkner Hospitals, a member of Partners HealthCare.

"The Faulkner" (as it is popularly known) offers comprehensive medical, surgical and psychiatric care as well as complete emergency, ambulatory and diagnostic services. The hospital's largest inpatient services are internal medicine, cardiology, psychiatry, orthopedics, gastroenterology and general/GI surgery.

In 2001, physicians at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates began providing primary and secondary care at Faulkner Hospital. A multi-specialty physicians group, Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates provides medical care to over 250,000 patients.
