Southern Air is an American airline based in Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. It operates wet leasing of Boeing 747 cargo aircraft to international air cargo carriers and freight forwarders, as well as cargo transportation for the U.S. military. Its main base is Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. Flight International 12-18 April 2005]

History

The airline was established on 10 March 1999 out of the assets of Southern Air Transport and started operations in November 1999. It is owned by Carmit Neff (50%) and James Neff (50%) and has approximately 700 employees.
