"Acid Blues Experience" is the Stoney Curtis Band's third album. It was released on July 19, 2005 from Shrapnel Records.cite web|url=http://www.stoneycurtisband.net/discography.html|title=Stoney Curtis Band's Big CD|accessdate=2006-11-25|]

After five years of playing at clubs in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, this was their first major CD. “I was going for the power of Zeppelin, the psycadelia of Cream and the Experience, the flow of Robin Trower Band,” explains Curtis. “We combined it all together with band-mates Charlie (drummer) and Colby (bass) to make it all The Stoney Curtis Band.” This was his response to the speculations of the album. According to reviews this album is a compilation of various blues sounds such as Jimi Hendrix, and a combination of the band's own blues music.

Signing to Shrapnel / Blues Bureau Records

Producer and President of Shrapnel Records, Mkie Varney, signed the Stoney Curtis Band to their label in 2005. While the details of the CD were being finalized, the band was on a schedule at Prairie Sun Studios in Northern California in early December 2004. Additional recording dates followed. Though it was expected in February, it was released in July 2005. A supporting tour would follow. As well as Mr. Varney was asked by Guitar Player Magazine to rebegin the "Guitarist Spotlight" column and Stoney curtis was chosen for the feature.
