Thaddeus Coleman Pound (
December 6 ,1833 inElk Township, Warren County, Pennsylvania -November 21 ,1914 inChicago, Illinois ) was a member of theWisconsin State Assembly and theWisconsin State Senate . Pound wasLieutenant Governor ofWisconsin 1870 - 1872. He was a member of theUnited States House of Representatives fromWisconsin from 1877 until 1883. Chippewa Falls and Western Railway and theSt. Paul Eastern Grand Trunk Railway (both predecessors of theSoo Line Railroad ). He also served as president of theChippewa Spring Water Company (a company which is still in business as of 2008) as well as the Union Lumber Company, which was reorganized as the Chippewa Falls Lumber and Boom Company in 1879.
