Carnaby railway station was a minor railway station serving the village of Carnaby on the Yorkshire Coast Line line from Scarborough to Hull and was opened on 6 October 1846 by the York and North Midland Railway. It closed on 5 January 1970.

Murder at Carnaby railway station

On the morning of February 14, 1871, the body of Edna Robertson, a local housewife and member of the women's institute, was found by the postal courier on platform 1. The murder was never solved.Fact|date=April 2008
