Rebecca Worthley (born
1981 ) is a singer/songwriter fromExeter ,UK .She broke onto the music scene with her full-length album, "Myths and Elegies", released in
2005 . After extensive gigging around the country, mostly in her home city of Exeter, but also to all reaches of the UK includingLondon ,Bristol ,Wolverhampton andPlymouth , Rebecca gained the attention ofIvor Novello Award winning producerMark Hill who has worked with artists such asPaul McCartney , Dido,Jennifer Lopez andCraig David . Mark Hill executively produced Rebecca Worthley's eponymously titledEP , released late in2006 . Rebecca also gained attention with her acoustic version of her popular song Consumed in 2006, which has featured in one form or another on all of her CD releases. The song was used on a "Jen the Hen " produced video about sweatshops, which has received much circulation onYouTube . In2007 , Rebecca gained more attention by being the first person to play a gig onSofaGig , a new online music venue. Rebecca has also received national airplay onBBC Radio 2 , and performed a live session with Radio 2 producer Bob Harris on 17th February 2007. Her new album "Morning Comes to Those Who Wait" was released on Peppy Records in June 2008, featuring two tracks from producer Sean Genockey who has recently worked with the likes of Tom McRae, Kula Shaker and the Manic Street Preachers.External links
