Rebecca Worthley

Rebecca Worthley (born 1981) is a singer/songwriter from Exeter, UK.

She broke onto the music scene with her full-length album, "Myths and Elegies", released in 2005. After extensive gigging around the country, mostly in her home city of Exeter, but also to all reaches of the UK including London, Bristol, Wolverhampton and Plymouth, Rebecca gained the attention of Ivor Novello Award winning producer Mark Hill who has worked with artists such as Paul McCartney, Dido, Jennifer Lopez and Craig David. Mark Hill executively produced Rebecca Worthley's eponymously titled EP, released late in 2006. Rebecca also gained attention with her acoustic version of her popular song Consumed in 2006, which has featured in one form or another on all of her CD releases. The song was used on a "Jen the Hen" produced video about sweatshops, which has received much circulation on YouTube. In 2007, Rebecca gained more attention by being the first person to play a gig on SofaGig, a new online music venue. Rebecca has also received national airplay on BBC Radio 2, and performed a live session with Radio 2 producer Bob Harris on 17th February 2007. Her new album "Morning Comes to Those Who Wait" was released on Peppy Records in June 2008, featuring two tracks from producer Sean Genockey who has recently worked with the likes of Tom McRae, Kula Shaker and the Manic Street Preachers.
