Sir Walter Calverley, 1st Baronet

Sir Walter Calverley, 1st Baronet (16 January 1670 – 15 October 1749) was the son of Walter Calverley of Calverley, Yorkshire and Frances Thompson, heiress of Esholt, Yorkshire.

He married Julia Blackett, daughter of Sir William Blackett in 1706 and in about 1709 completed the building of a new house at Esholt Hall, Esholt.

He was created a Baronet on 11 November 1711.

He was succeeded by his son Walter
