St. Ebbes

St Ebbes is a small housing estate just south-west of the city centre in Oxford, England. It is close to Oxford Ice Rink and the Westgate Shopping Centre, and near the River Thames.

There is also a street in the area called St Ebbes Street, running south from Queen Street past Pembroke Street (on the right), to Brewer Street (on the right). There the street ceases to be called "St Ebbes Street" and becomes "Littlegate".

St Ebbe's Church is an evangelical church in Pennyfarthing Place, on the corner with St Ebbes Street.St Ebbe's Church of England (Aided) Primary School is located to the south of the river close by.

The Victorian photographer Henry Taunt was born at Pension Gardens, St Ebbes, on 14 June 1842.
