Olympic apps=The Russia women's national volleyball team is the national team of Russia. It is governed by the Russian Volleyball Federation and takes part in international volleyball competitions.

Russia qualified for the 2004 Summer Olympics by finishing in third place at the Women's Volleyball Olympic Qualifier, from May 8 to May 16 in Tokyo, Japan. In Athens, Greece the team claimed the bronze medal.

They played from 1949 to 1991 as the Soviet Union and as CIS in 1992.
