Antwahn Nance

Antwahn Nance is an American former college basketball player. Listed as a 6'10" center in his player profile, Nance played basketball for Grambling State University. After college, Nance played for various professional basketball organizations, including the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He was discovered by a basketball recruiter on a playground, and eventually enrolled at Grambling State University, where he became a star basketball player.

Antwahn Nance was recently featured in a series of A&E programs called "Intervention". Nance is now homeless in Los Angeles, California, living on the infamous Skid Row. He had become addicted to various illegal drugs, mainly crack cocaine, but also alcohol and marijuana. His mother committed suicide when Antwahn was six. Antwahn said in the program that he began smoking marijuana at the age of 9. According to the program, Nance is still deeply loved by his wife, children and brother, though his wife Cynthia has finalized their divorce. They all still hope for a successful rehabilitation from his drug addiction so that he may return to his role as father and husband. After the first failed attempt at rehab following the "Intervention" episode Antwahn was approached by "A Sober Way Home" in Prescott, Arizona to re-enter rehabiliation. He agreed and went along with his girlfriend (also an addict). They left after one week. In December, Antwahn was arrested for petty theft, felony drug possession and parole violations. He is currently awaiting trial.
