Kapok Guitar

Kapok Guitar or Gitar kapuk is a brand of guitar in Malaysia. The popularity of the guitar led to its name being used to describe any acoustic guitar. Although they do also manufacture electric guitars as well.

The guitar usually costs around RM100 to RM150 however the price tag could be as low as RM30 in the past 20 years.

It has a nice warm tone with most models suiting beginners. However many of their older guitar's action is high and the sound can be affected because of this. Probably due to the cheap quality wood that was used in their earlier days.

It is probably the most used type of guitar in Malaysia as it is a cheap but quite hardy guitar.
