Serbia and Montenegro only entered the competition once as a full nation. The country dissolved in 2006 and both Montenegro and Serbia were able to complete as separate countries. Serbia took part in the 2006 contest. Montenegro declined the invitation given to them by the EBU, and they did not participate in the years after.
