A Rodovia Luís de Queirós (official designation SP-304) is a
highway in the state ofSão Paulo ,Brazil .It interconnects the cities of
Americana , by theAnhanguera Highway (SP-330) andPiracicaba , serving also the city ofSanta Bárbara d'Oeste , at which level crosses with theRodovia dos Bandeirantes (SP-348). It is approximately 45 km long and double-lane.It has been named in honour of
Luís Vicente de Sousa Queirós , a farmer and agriculturist who founded in Piracicaba the first practical school ofagriculture in the state, which later became a college of theUniversity of São Paulo .The highway is managed and maintained by the Department of Roads of the state of São Paulo (DER), thus a toll is not required.
