The Duluth-Superior Lumberjacks is a now-defunct Indoor Football League franchise. They were a charter member of the Indoor Football League. During their only two years of existence, the Lumberjacks could only get four wins. When the league folded after the 2000 season, the Lumberjacks went with it.
The 1999 team was really based out of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul) and played at the DECC in Duluth. The team was coached by John Coatta.
The 2000 team was based in Superior, WI, while games were still at the DECC. John Torzewski was the General Manager, while Ed Holden was the first head coach. He was replaced later in the year by Dan McCarty.
