Every year, Stage 1 students come up with a charter for the school- a document that defines their values and expectations to be able to relate well to fellow students, teachers as well as celebrate University Senior College's changing face as a multicultural school. In particular, Chinese New Year has always been celebrated with many locals also getting involved.A number of clubs have been established at the school: a formal committee, UMAT Group meetings and perhaps most significantly, an Environment Club. The Environment Club continues to make progress to introduce and maintain sustainable practices such as establishing a recycling programme and a pbwiki for the whole school to become involved and share ideas. Currently, the club has organized a World Environment Day school session for the entire campus on June the 5th, 2008 which promises to be an exciting time for the school.A time to reflect the past & press on to the future, primarily however an opportunity to celebrate the environmental progress worldwide as well as here at USC through acknowledging the founders. As a club we seek to raise public awareness of environmental issues faced by Australia through guest speaker/PowerPoint/Environmental displays.& inform students of our responsibility to save the environment.
