Ayyappankave

Ayyappankave is a village in the Palakkad district, Kerala, India. The village is about 20 kilometers from Palakkad. There are two routes to reach Kottayi from Palakkad: the Konduthirapully-Pudur route and the Kannadi–Coyalmannam route. The village is shaped like the English letter L and has about 30 houses. Chembai and Aiyalam villages are nearby.

The nearest railway station is Palakkad Junction (formerly known as Olavakkode Junction).

The nearest airports are Coimbatore, about 65 kilometers from Palakkad Town and Nedumbassery (Kochi) which is about 160 km from Palakkad Town.

The temple in the village is consecrated to Lord Shiva Subramania and is about two centuries old. There are also sannidhi for Ganapathy, Balasubramania, Nagas, and Krishna. The main deity Lord Siva Subramania is in the form of two serpents intertwined together like Arabic number “ 8” with a lingam on the upper circle.

Timings : On normal days, the temple is open from 5.30 am to 8 am in the mornings & from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm in the evenings for Poojas & worship. Daily Pal Abhishekam is performed to Lord Siva Subramania Swamy at 6 am. The daily worship (both morning & evening), monthly & annual festivals are carried on from the generous contribution / participation of all devotees / well wishers in & around the world. Every day Tirupugazh Bajans is performed in the mornings / evenings at the temple.
