Tando Muhammad Khan (Sindhi: ٽنڊو محمد خان, Urdu: ٹنڈو محمد خان) is a town in Sindh, Pakistan. It is the headquarters of Tando Muhammad Khan District. It has a railway station on the Badin - Hyderabad section of the railways.

History

Tando Muhammad Khan was founded by Mir Muhammad Khan Talpur Shahwani, who died in 1813. During the British period it was seat of Assistant Collector. Its status was changed to Municipality in 1856. There are four big sugar mills of the country located in Tando Muhammad Khan.

Location

Languages

Sindhi is the major language of the town, although Urdu, is also spoken and understood. Persian is the language spoken by the Hazara (Mughal) tribe (of Late General Mosa Khan) which is living in Bulri Shah Karim (Sub-Town) and Sarhandis, who live in village Tando Saindad, which is 1 km before from T.M.
