This neighborhood is adjacent to the University of Minnesota's St. Paul Campus (in Falcon Heights), bordering SoutheastMinneapolis on the west, theMinnesota State Fair grounds on the east (in Falcon Heights), and the suburbs of Falcon Heights and Lauderdale to the north.Originally set out as estates for the wealthy of
Minneapolis in the late 1800s, it has become a neighborhood of people with diverse backgrounds. It is centrally located in the Twin Cities. TheSt. Anthony Park Branch Library , aCarnegie library built in 1917, is listed on theNational Register of Historic Places and was expanded in 1999 with a children's wing.
