Ulanów [IPA-pl|u|'|l|a|n|u|f] is a town in Nisko County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Poland, with 1,490 inhabitants (2004).

It has grammar and high schools along with 2 churches. One of the churches was put on fire in 2004 it was close for a long time and after about a year they opened the church again. Ulanow was a multicultural town with Jewish population of about 40% [http://www.kirkuty.xip.pl/ulanow.htm] but after WWII the town became almost completely Catholic. Every year in june a festival is held commemorating the day Ulanow was established. There is music and the burning of a great wreath made of pine cones and flowers while songs are sung. Then, there are rafts set upon the San river which is double bottomed and develops whirlpools randomly. The refts leave Ulanow river to go to Gdansk. People set out on the river to place a basket of flowers with a candle in the middle on the river. Torches are lit as the wooden hand made rafts continue and are not allowed to return to shore unless the torches are burnt out. There is also a boat containing the mayor of the town with a large cannon that is shot when the ceremony is over which is then followed by fireworks. The mayor of Ulanow is Andrzej Bąk of the summer of 2005.
