Showcase theatre (performing arts group)

Founded in 1963 by a group of Northeastern Pennsylvania Theatre personalities, Showcase Theatre became one of the major performing arts groups in the Luzerne and Lackawanna County regions of Pennsylvania. Dedicated to professional quality theatre in a non profit setting the theatre existed from 1963-2003 producing avant garde,edgy and new works as well as classics and crowd pleasers. Over the years some of the regions finest theatre veterans were active with the group including Jane Tomassetti, J. Gerald Godwin, Bob Hensley, Joseph Kelly, Santo LoQuasto, Paul Winarski, Dawn Winarski, Greg Korin, Jack Gibbons,Michael Gallagher and Toni Nardone.
