Jim Moret is currently the chief correspondent for television's "
Inside Edition ". Moret has covered entertainment news for over 20 years. He is a regular guest contributor both as legal analyst and entertainment reporter forCNN ,Headline News ,Fox News Channel ,Court TV , andMSNBC . He served as pool legal analyst for broadcast and cable networks during the criminal trial ofMichael Jackson .Before joining "Inside Edition", Moret was probably best known for anchoring
CNN ’s coverage of theO.J. Simpson criminal trial in1995 and hosting "Showbiz Today" and co-anchoring "The World Today". After leaving CNN, Moret hosted a series of specials for ABC, and for three years co-hosted theAcademy Awards pre-show for the network. He has also been a guest anchor on theKTLA "Morning News in Los Angeles", and on Fox 5’s "Good Day New York ". His first on-air reporting position was atKABC-TV in Los Angeles. He was a visiting professor atUCLA , where he taught a course in the Department of Communication Studies and is also a graduate of the program. Moret is also a member of the California Bar. Moret currently resides inLos Angeles with his wife and three children. He is the son of actorJames Darren .External links
