Samuel Dickson

Samuel Dickson (March 29, 1807 - May 3, 1858) was a United States Representative from New York. Born in the town of Bethlehem (now New Scotland) in Albany County, he completed preparatory studies, was graduated from Union College in 1825, and received a diploma from the Censors of the Medical Society of the State of New York in May 1829, commencing the practice of his profession in New Scotland.

Dickson was elected as an Opposition Party candidate to the Thirty-fourth Congress, holding office from March 4, 1855 to March 3, 1857. He died in New Scotland; interment was in New Scotland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
