Salto, Cape Verde

Salto (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: "Saltu"), is a village located approximately 15 km northeast of the island capital of Sao Filipe and southwest of Mosteiros in the northern part of the island of Fogo, Cape Verde. Salto are is linked with the main road linking with a road encircling the island.

Geography

The area around Salto contains farmlands in the areas that are about 1.5 km within the coastline, the Chã das Caldeiras lies to the south, the Atlantic Ocean can be seen to the south and west.
