Thachampara

Thachampara is a village in the Palakkad district of Kerala, India. It is approximately 30 km from the city of Palakkad.

The village contains a panchayath, a hospital named Deenabandu Hospital (Mission Hospital), and Desabandu Secondary School.

Tachampara pooram is the village festival with lot of crackers, elephants and horses and variety of programs, Its conducted every year on march 3rd. The temple name is kunnathukavu. its hardly 1 km from tachampara town.

most important institution here is Desabandhu High school ,I was a student of this school during 1963 -1966 ,this school must be at least Sixty years old.During 1963-66 Shri V.G .Sukumaran master was the head master also I remember Shri Lilavathy,Shri Radhakrishnan my teachers(many more are there) .my email id is kpanair@yahoo.com,hope some one will up date this
