Jim Sadowski

Jim Sadowski

James Michael Sadowski (born August 7, 1951 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is a former relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played briefly for the Pittsburgh Pirates during the by|1974 season. Sadowski batted and threw right-handed. He is the nephew of Bob, Ed and Ted Sadowski, who also played in the majors.

In one-season career, Sadowski posted a 0-1 record with one strikeout and a 6.00 ERA in four games pitched. He also played for the Kansas City Royals and Cincinnati Reds minor league systems.

After nine years in professional baseball, Sadowski started a successful banking career. In addition, he remains actively involved in several community programs including serving as an officer with the Pittsburgh Pirate Alumni Association.
