Simon Patterson (born
1967 ) is an English artist and was born inLeatherhead ,Surrey . He was shortlisted for theTurner Prize in 1996 for his exhibitions at theLisson Gallery , theGandy Gallery and his three shows in Japan.He attendedHertfordshire College of Art and Design andGoldsmiths College between 1985 and 1989. The Great Bear an editioned print which reworks theLondon Underground map . An edition was purchased byCharles Saatchi and shown in theSensation exhibition of 1997 which toured London, Berlin and New York. An edition is in theTate Gallery collection and is currently on display atTate Britain in London.Simon Patterson is the younger brother of the painter
