- E-Blocks
E-blocks is an innovated technology first used in the
2004 New Hampshire Presidential primaries by the campaign of candidateWesley Clark , allowing registered users to receive a list of names, addresses and phone numbers of registered voters. It allows campaign volunteers to phone bank, or write letters from the privacy of their own home. The purpose of this endeavor was to capitalize on the unusedcell phone minutes of citizens as far-flung as Florida and California. At first, the names were distributed manually from a database. Later, the E-blocks numbers were automatically doled out in sets of 10, with an area allocated for comments about the voter, level of interest, whether the information is correct.
Alternative definition
E-blocks are small circuit boards each of which contains a block of electronics that you would typically find in an electronic system. Each E-block performs a separate function as either an input sub-system, an output sub-system, or a processing sub-system. E-blocks can be snapped together to form a wide variety of systems that can be used for teaching and learning electronics and for the rapid prototyping of complex electronic systems.
