The Pamisos or the Pamissos River (Greek: Ποταμός Παμίσου "Potamos Pamisou") is a river that flows entirely in the Messinia prefectures in the southern Peloponnese in Greece.

Geography

The river begins in the mountains of Lykaio to the north in an area filled with grasslands, rocks, a few bushes and rarely some trees, villages lie within the river area. Since 2001, the GR-7 runs on the east side of the valley and southward, its entirety. The river enter the Pamisos valley or the plain. and passes the bridge of GR-9A (E55) and into the towns of Zevgolatio and Meligala, it flows near Eva,Aris Messinias where we find the "fragma" (dam) which helps irrigate a big part of the Messinian valley and east of modern Messini as well as the GR-82 and further south empties into the Ionian Sea with the Messenian Gulf.
