St. Georges Technical High School is a vocational-technical high school in Middletown, Delaware and is the newest of four high schools within the New Castle County Vocational-Technical School District, which includes Delcastle Technical High School in Newport, Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, and Hodgson Vo-Tech High School in Glasgow.

School Opening

St. Georges Technical High School opened its doors to ninth graders in August 2006 at the Marshallton Building at Delcastle Technical High School as the construction of its formal campus completed. The school will be phasing in the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades one academic year at a time, fulfilling the process in 2009-2010.

Currently, St. Georges Technical competes on the freshman level in volleyball, football, and basketball. More programs are planned to be added as higher grades are incorporated. A goal has been set for varsity athletic competition in 2008.

Career Programs of Study

Students at St. Georges Technical choose a Program of Study in a career field that provides specific vocational/technical training. Course selection is based on the program of study chosen. There are thirteen career programs offered at St. Georges Technical, spanning six "clusters":
