Elliot Lake ,Ontario . The school began in 1956 with 23 students and quickly grew to 1193 students by 1990. The following year, the school only saw an enrollment of 899 students and the institution's population would continue to drop thereafter. The students and staff at the school are known as the Atoms.The school was built in four phases during the years 1957, 1959, 1964 and 1968. The building consists of 27 classrooms, five science labs, three technology shops, one manufacturing shop, one double gymnasium with a folding wall, one library, one family studies room, one music room, a drama room and a cafeteria.
