Elidir Sais (c.
1190 – c.1240 ) was aWelsh language court poet. His sobriquet "Sais" ("English") suggests he was conversant with the English language ; a fact so unusual as to earn him his "nickname."Elidir's few surviving works ar religious poems on the theme of the Holy Trinity and a poem remonstrating with
