Delmar Senior High School, is a public high school in Delmar, DE, a community in Sussex County, Delaware. The school is co-located with Delmar Middle School, along with the district offices. Delmar Senior High School's enrollment includes students from Delmar, MD and 45 students from other cities under Delaware's School Choice program. However, because of the great number of students enrolling into the school and the lack of sufficient space for the growing population, Delmar has had to decline enrollment to kids who live in other cities. The total 2008 enrollment is 592 students, with 1,149 students total for both schools. The current school building was built in 2000, though the original building was built in 1928. The school completed expansion in August 2008, with a new wing added to the middle school and the cafeteria being expanded and to hold approximately seventy additional students. Along with expansion, for the 2008-2009 school year the Delmar School District introduced a uniform policy.
