Catholic Discipline

Catholic Discipline

Catholic Discipline was a short lived Los Angeles Punk rock band headed by Slash Fanzine editor Claude Bessy, nicknamed "Kickboy Face", on vocals. The band was started in 1979 and played a series of shows around the Los Angeles area before ultimately breaking up in 1980. However they are most known for their appearance in the 1980 Penelope Spheeris rockumentary film The Decline of Western Civilization, in which they played two songs. Other notable members of the band included Phranc, who is jokingly known as "the world's best Lesbian Jewish folk singer"; Craig Lee from Alice Bag Band; Rick Jaffe from the band BPeople; and reportedly Robert Lopez, who is also known as El Vez, the Mexican Elvis. They never formally recorded any music and only recently was a collection of live recordings released in CD form through Artifix Records.
