Ambo is one of the 180
woreda s in theOromia Region ofEthiopia . Part of theMirab Shewa Zone , Ambo is bordered on the southwest byTikur , on the west byCheliya , on the north byGinde Beret , on the northeast byJeldu , on the east by Dendi, and on the southeast byWonchi . The administrative center of this woreda is Ambo; other towns includeGorosile ,Guder ,Meti andToke Erensa .Coffee is an important cash crop of this woreda. Over 50 km² is planted with this crop. With an estimated area of 1,588.13 square kilometers, Ambo has an estimated population density of 163.8 people per square kilometer, which is greater than the Zone average of 152.8.
