SimCorp is a Danish company that develops an integrated investment management software system for global markets, as well as providing analytical models. Their solutions help customers perform the many tasks needed to stay ahead in today's international financial markets.

SimCorp also offer training through competence building programs and consulting services giving clients access to SimCorp's expertise in global finance. SimCorp's expertise lies within Finance, IT and Economics.

SimCorp's customers include banks and central banks, mortgage lenders, portfolio/investment managers, insurance companies, pension funds, mutual funds, securities and commodities brokers.

History

Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Denmark, SimCorp has subsidiaries throughout the Nordic region as well as in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain, Ukraine, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore and USA. SimCorp has approximately 1,000 employees, in 14 countries, on 4 continents and is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange.

Financials

On 28 February 2008, SimCorp released its financial results for 2007. SimCorp generated revenue of EUR 157m (DKK 1.2bn) in2007, an increase of EUR 30m or 23% compared with the previous year. SimCorp posted EBIT of EUR 38.4m (DKK 286m), an improvement of 13% on the 2006 figure and the bestever performance in SimCorp history. The EBIT margin was 24.5%. Profit after tax and discontinued operations was EUR 39.0m.

Acquisitions

On September 20th 2005, SimCorp acquired a controlling stake in FIX specialist Solutionforge. The acquisition meant that it opened the way for SimCorp to embed Solutionforge's FIX.NET server and FIX.NET trader technology into SimCorp's own investment management software, and this in turn strengthened SimCorp's trading knowledge base. Following the acquisition, 3 members of the Solutionforge board took management roles within SimCorp, Matthew Reid and Vince Avery within Front Office product development, and Steve Wilkinson as lead system architect for SimCorp Dimension.

Other

- SimCorp is currently attained at Capability Maturity Model (CMM) certification Level 2. The firm attempts to move onto Level 3 by 2008.
