Paul Kraus was born in 1944 in
Austria and migrated with his parents toAustralia as a young child. In the 1960s Paul worked near a factory whereasbestos sheets were sawn into smaller pieces. In 1997 Paul was diagnosed with malignantmesothelioma (specifically peritoneal mesothelioma), an aggressive cancer that has a median survival of 9-12 months.Mesothelioma
Despite his cancer, Paul Kraus continues to thrive and enjoys a good quality of life. His last book, "Surviving Mesothelioma and Other Cancers: A Patient's Guide," was written based on his experience surviving cancer despite having rejected conventional therapies. Paul has had no
