musical description
A variety of influences are present in the music of [http://www.thirteenofeverything.com Thirteen of Everything] with emphasis on long pieces with intricate, syncopated arrangements while maintaining a strong focus on melodic content and thematic development. The music appeals to fans of classic prog-rock and new prog-rock as well as jam band fans and anyone enjoying complex arrangements with lots of melody.
influences
[http://www.thirteenofeverything.com Thirteen of Everything's] sound is sometimes reminiscent of 70's era Genesis, Yes,
King Crimson ,Gentle Giant ,Pink Floyd , U.K., etc., but some of have also cited hearing such diverse influences asXTC and evenFrank Zappa in the mix. To most ears the sound is probably most evocative of a mixture of 70's prog-rock but with a more modern approach and sound a'laEcholyn ,The Flower Kings orSpock's Beard . However Thirteen of Everyting's music, though offering up an entertaining variety of moods, more often leans toward the darker, more melancholy ambience of their 70's influences, rather than the relatively lighter shades of their aforementioned contemporaries.further information
