Garstang and Knot-End Railway and theLondon and North Western Railway , inLancashire ,England . The station was situated close to the village ofCatterall , and adjacent to theLancaster Canal .This station was on the
Lancaster and Preston Junction Railway (now part of theWest Coast Main Line ) betweenPreston and Lancaster. It opened on26 June 1840 , [Butt, R.V.J.
