Ron Elisha

Ron Elisha (born 1951) is an Australian playwright, writer and general practitioner.

accessdate = 2007-08-31 ] In 1975 he graduated in Medicine from Melbourne University and has practised as a GP since then. His first play, "In Duty Bound" was staged in 1979. Since then he has written dozens of plays, two children's books and occasional pieces for newspapers. He has won four Australian Writers' Guild Awards, including the Major Award in 1982 for his 1981 play "Einstein". Among his his most recent work is the 2005 play "Wrongful Life", about the ethics of abortion and the law. [cite web
