- Bundesgartenschau
The Bundesgartenschau (abbr. BUGA) is the biannual Federal
horticulture show inGermany . It also covers topics like landscaping. Taking place in different cities, the location changes in a two-year cycle. The next BUGA is arranged by the two citiesGera andRonneburg from April 27th to October 14th, 2007.With a high budget, extensive landscape architectures and gardenings are realized that support the regional development objectives in the respective cites. A good general discussion on the history of the Bundesgartenschau can be found in "Grounds for Review: The Garden Festival in Urban Planning and Design" "by Andrew Theokas".
