Born on 28th of September, 1923, into Yousaf Zai Pakhtuns in District Mardan, British India.

Roedad Khan is one of the senior most Civil Servant of Pakistan. He is a Retired Bureaucrat and Political Analyst

Roedad Khan went to the position of Secretary General, the highest rank of CSP / PSC a.k.a Civil Services of Pakistan or Pakistan Civil Service. Roedad Khan had major roles in the Government of President Zia ul Haq and President Ghulam Ishaq Khan. He remained on posts of Pakistan such as Secretary General Ministry of Interior. He is also author of three illustrious books.

Civil Services of Pakistan

Roedad Khan joined the civil service of Pakistan in 1949 and has held several important appointments, including those of Chief Secretary Sindh,Secretary Ministry of Labour, Secretary Ministry of Tourism, Secretary Ministry of Interior, Secretary General Ministry of Interior, Federal Minister of Accountability and Advisor to the Prime Minister and President.

Politics

Roedad Khan has worked with 5 Presidents of Pakistan. He was a close friend of President Ghulam Ishaq Khan and also had close relations with President Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's family.

Views on Musharraf

Roedad Khan holds very critical almost contemptous views of General Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan. Talking about Pervez Musharraf he is quoted as saying;

"He is gungho. He is dangerous and will destroy every stone and brick of Pakistan"
