HMP Wealstun is a prison located near Thorp Arch, West Yorkshire, England. It was formed from the almagamation of HM Prisons Thorp Arch and Rudgate on 1 April 1995. The amalgamation of two neighbouring establishments was an historic development for the Prison Service, and had the effect of creating a category C (closed) side and category D (open) side within one establishment. A great deal of building development has taken place at the prison in recent years, and some continues.

A central tenet of Wealstun's whole-establishment approach is to enable the progressive transfer of suitable prisoners from the closed side to the open side. The utilisation of joint services enables Wealstun to make financial savings whilst maintaining the good reputation of both establishments.

Accommodation at the prison includes 15 Double cells on B Wing. The remainder of the Cat C and all the Cat D one single cell.

Wealstun offers education, workshops, training courses, farms and gardens and a works department. Category D prisoners can access community programmes on licence. The prison has a Listener Scheme (supported by the Samaritans and prison officers) and a Community Integration Unit and work out scheme. Wealstun is served by Leeds North East Primary Care Trust and has type 1 healthcare centre status. There is a part-time medical officer with an on-call facility.

Wealstun has a Visitors Centre for use on visiting days. A visiting room is in operation for both the Closed and the Open sides of the prison. Each room has play area facilities and a refreshment counter where food may be purchased.
